Challenge

This digital buying platform empowers middle to small businesses to manage their energy budget. The tool alerts and informs on the market’s behaviour to increase awareness and enable smart purchases, ensuring that smaller businesses can benefit from changes on the market just like bigger organisations do today.

The MLP focusses on inexperienced energy buyers, helping them to define and achieve their budget goal. The pricing mechanism was defined in parallel with the interface, ensuring its feasibility. The team developed a playful app to demonstrate the purchasing mechanism and to better comprehend the users’ decision-taking behaviour.

Learning

One of the wonderful things I learned while working at Fjord is the importance of strategy and business design. Working together with business designers and strategists on projects has opened up my boundaries as a designer and has awaken an interest in me I never knew I had. Drawing from multiple experiences in projects, I realised how important the culture of a business is and how big our impact as designers can be. Culture is paramount for the success and implementation of our dreamed up services and products. We have been establishing a long-lasting relationship with this provider, this MLP being one of the first concepts launched in the market.
